OUR STORY

The Franklin Showroom traces its roots to industry pioneer Steven Alan, a trailblazer in the emerging designer space. Originally founded under his name, the showroom was rebranded as Franklin Showroom in 2017—an homage to our original location on Franklin Street in Tribeca. The rebranding marked a new chapter, combining Franklin’s deep expertise in brand sales and development with the operational, financial, and analytical acumen of new partners and advisors. This strategic collaboration laid the groundwork for a truly holistic, 360-degree approach to supporting designer growth.

Under the leadership of Samantha Smith and our seasoned team, we’ve built an infrastructure designed to help brands achieve sustainable, profitable growth. Franklin goes beyond the traditional showroom model by offering strategic advisement and hands-on industry expertise to scale, support, and nurture dynamic, purpose-driven businesses.

Since opening our doors over 25 years ago in Tribeca—and now operating out of our locations in New York’s West Village and Downtown Los Angeles—we’ve remained committed to providing dedicated, professional, and enthusiastic service to both emerging and established designers. We proudly present their collections year-round to a global roster of retailers, from distinctive neighborhood boutiques to premier department stores and leading online fashion platforms
